I DIDN'T LOSE HER (I THREW HER AWAY)
I DON'T FEEL LIKE LOVIN' YOU
I DON'T KNOW A THING ABOUT LOVE
I DON'T KNOW A THING ABOUT LOVE (THE MOON SONG)
I DON'T LOVE YOU
I DON'T WANT TO BE WITH ME
I FALL TO PIECES
I GOT A GOOD THING GOING
I HURT FOR YOU
I JUST WANTED YOU TO KNOW
I LOVE YOU MORE IN MEMORY
I MADE HER THAT WAY
I MAY NEVER GET TO HEAVEN
I NEED YOUR LOVIN'
I NEVER DID QUITE GET OVER YOU
I SEE THE WANT IN YOUR EYES
I STILL BELIEVE IN WALTZES
I STILL SEE HIM (THROUGH THE HURT IN YOUR EYES)
I THREW AWAY THE ROSE
I TOLD MY WORLD TO GO AWAY (AND SHE DID)
I VIBRATE (FROM MY HEAD TO MY FEET)
I WISH I WAS STILL IN YOUR DREAMS
I WISH YOU COULD HAVE TURNED MY HEAD
I WONDER IF YOU TOLD HER ABOUT ME
I'D JUST LOVE TO LAY YOU DOWN
I'D LOVE TO LAY YOU DOWN
I'D RATHER BE GONE
I'D RATHER LOVE YOU
I'LL COME RUNNING
I'LL HAVE ANOTHER CUP OF COFFEE
I'LL NEVER GET TIRED (OF SAYING I LOVE YOU)
I'LL NEVER MAKE IT HOME TONIGHT
I'LL SHARE MY WORLD WITH YOU
I'M CHECKING OUT
I'M GETTIN' TIRED OF LOSING YOU
I'M THE ONLY THING (I'LL HOLD AGAINST YOU)
I'M USED TO LOSING YOU
I'VE ALREADY LOVED YOU IN MY MIND
I'VE NEVER LOVED YOU MORE
I'VE NEVER SEEN THE LIKES OF YOU
IF YOU TOUCH ME (YOU'VE GOT TO LOVE ME)
IF YOU WERE MINE TO LOSE

THAT KIND OF GIRL
THAT'S ALL SHE WROTE
THAT'S ALL THAT MATTERS
THAT'S WHAT IT'S LIKE TO BE LONESOME
THE BIG MAN ABOVE
THE LEGEND AND THE MAN
THE LIKES OF ME
THE NEXT KISS
THE PICK UP
THE THIRD MAN
THERE STANDS THE GLASS
THERE'S A HONKY TONK ANGEL (WHO'LL TAKE ME BACK IN)
THERE'S MORE LOVE IN THE ARMS YOU'RE LEAVING
THESE LONELY HANDS OF MINE
THEY ONLY COME OUT AT NIGHT
THINGS HAVE GONE TO PIECES
THINGS I LOST IN YOU
THIS ROAD THAT I WALK
TILL THE PAIN OUTWEARS THE SHAME
TODAY I STARTED LOVING YOU AGAIN
TOGETHER FOREVER
TRUCK DRIVIN' MAN
TWO LONELY PEOPLE
TWO OF THE USUAL
TWO TIMIN' TWO STEPPER
US
WALK ME TO THE DOOR
WE DID BUT NOW YOU DON'T
WE'RE CAUGHT BETWEEN A LOVE AND A LOVE AFFAIR
WE'VE BEEN STRONG LONG ENOUGH
WE'VE CLOSED OUR EYES TO SHAME
WEAKNESS IN YOUR MAN
WHAT AM I LIVING FOR
WHEN I TURN OFF MY LIGHTS
WHEN THE FINAL CHANGE IS MADE
WHITE LIGHTNING
WHO DID THEY THINK HE WAS
WHO'LL TURN OUT THE LIGHTS IN YOUR WORLD TONIGHT
WHO'S GONNA KNOW
WILD MOUNTAIN ROSE
WILD SIDE OF LIFE
WINDOW UP ABOVE
WINE
WINE ME UP
WITH PEN IN HAND
WORKING GIRL
WORLD OF FORGOTTEN PEOPLE
WOUND TIME CAN'T ERASE
YOU BLOW MY MIND (THE COLOR OF LOVE)

Paul Hardcastle
In 1965 Vietnam seemed like just another foreign war but it wasn't
It was different in many ways, as so were tose that did the fighting
In World War II the average age of the combat soldier was 26
In Vietnam he was 19
In-in-in Vietnam he was 19

The shooting and fighting of the past two weeks continued today
25 miles west of Saigon
I really wasn't sure what was going on

Ni-ni-ni 19, 19, ni-19 19
19, 19, 19, 19

In Vietnam the combat soldier typically served
A twelve month tour of duty
But was exposed to hostile fire almost everyday
Ni-ni-ni 19, Ni-ni-ni 19

Hundreds of thousands of men who saw heavy combat
In Vietnam were arrested since discharge
Their arrest rate is almost twice that of non-veterans of the same age
There are no accurate figures of how many of these men
Have been incarcerated

But a Veterans Administration study
Concludes that the greater of vets
Exposure to combat could more likely affect his chances
Of being arrested or convicted

This is one legacy of the Vietnam War

All those who remember the war
They won't forget what they've seen
Destruction of men in their prime
Whose average was 19

De-de-destruction
De-de-destruction
War, war

De-de-destruction, wa, wa, war, wa, war, war
De-de-destruction
War, war

After World War II the men came home together on troop ships
But the Vietnam vet often arrived home within 48 hours of jungle combat
Perhaps the most dramatic difference between
World War II and Vietnam was coming home
None of them received a hero's welcome

None of them received a heroes welcome, none of them, none of them
Ne-ne-ne, ne-ne-ne, none of them, none of them, none of them
None of them received a hero's welcome
None of them received a hero's welcome

According to a Veteran's Administration study
Half of the Vietnam combat veterans suffered from what
Psychiatrists call
Post-Traumatic-Stress-Disorder

Many vets complain of alienation, rage or guilt
Some succumb to suicidal thoughts
Eight to ten years after coming home
Almost eight hundred thousand men are still fighting the Vietnam War

De-de-destruction
Ni-ni-ni 19, 19, ni19 19
19, 19, 19, 19
Ni-ni-ni 19, 19, ni-19 19
19, 19, 19, 19

When we came back it was different, everybody wants to know
"How'd it happened to those guys over there?
There's gotta be something wrong somewhere
We did what we had to do

There's gotta be something wrong somewhere
People wanted us to be ashamed of what it made us
Dad had no idea what he went to fight and he is now
All we want to do is come home

All we want to do is come home
What did we do it for?
All we want to do is come home
Was it worth it

I've done everything I canAll the people that I see I will never understandIf I find a way to change, if I step into the lightThen I'll never be the same, and it all will fade to whiteEver on and on I continue circlingWith nothing but my hate in a carousel of agony
