Other songs

(I'M SO) AFRAID OF LOSING YOU AGAIN
(IN THE VALLEY) HE RESTORETH MY SOUL
A PICTURE OF ME WITHOUT YOU
A TALE FROM TAHRARRIE
A-SLEEPIN' AT THE FOOT OF THE BED
AIN'T HAD NO LOVIN'
AIN'T LOVE A GOOD THING
AIN'T NOTHIN' SHAKIN' (BUT THE LEAVES)
AIN'T WE HAVIN' US A GOOD TIME
ALL OF A SUDDEN
ALONE WITH YOU
AMAZING GRACE
AS LONG AS WE'VE GOT EACH OTHER
AT THE FOOT OF THE CROSS
AWAY IN A MANGER
BABY'S BACK AGAIN
BACK IN BABY'S ARMS
BACK IN MY BABY'S ARMS AGAIN
BAPTISM OF JESSE TAYLOR
BEFORE I'M OVER YOU
BETWEEN EACH TEAR
BORN A WOMAN
BORN TO SING
BRIDGE OF LOVE
BRINGIN' IT HOME
BURNING A HOLE IN MY MIND
BURNING BRIDGES
CINCINNATI OHIO
CITY LIGHTS
CLINGING TO A SAVING HAND
COME ALONG AND WALK WITH ME
CRUMBS FROM THE TABLE
CRY CRY CRY
DADDY SANG BASS
DARLING ARE YOU EVER COMING HOME
DARLING DAYS
DEEPENING SNOW
DID YOU LET YOUR LIGHT SHINE
DON'T FEEL SORRY FOR ME
DON'T FORGET I STILL LOVE YOU
DON'T KEEP ME LONELY TOO LONG
DON'T MAKE ME DREAM
DON'T TELL HIM THAT I'M STILL CRYING
DON'T WALK AWAY
DOWNTOWN
EASY COME EASY GO
EVEN THE BAD TIMES ARE GOOD
EVEN THO'
EVERYBODY LOVES SOMEBODY
FAMILY BIBLE
FARTHER ALONG
FIRST NOEL
FIVE FINGERS TO SPARE
FOOL NO.1
FOOLIN' AROUND
FOR BETTER OR FOR WORSE
FOR GOODNESS SAKE IT'S LOVE
GATHERING FLOWERS FOR THE MASTER'S BOUQUET
GENTLE ON MY MIND
GO AHEAD AND MAKE ME CRY
GO AWAY STRANGER
GO TELL IT ON THE MOUNTAIN
GOD IS ABUNDANT
GOD WILL
GOLDEN STREETS OF GLORY
GONE
GONE TOO FAR
GOTTA LOTTA BLUES TO LOSE
HAPPY STREET
HE DID IT ALL FOR ME
HE IS MY EVERYTHING
HE TOUCHED ME
HE TURNED THE WATER INTO WINE
HE WAS THERE ALL THE TIME
HEARTBREAK AVENUE
HELLO DARLIN'
HINGES ON THE DOOR
HOLDIN' ON
HOUSE DIVIDED
HOW GREAT THOU ART
HOW MUCH LONELIER CAN LONELY BE
HOW SWEET IT IS
HURT GOES ON
HURTIN'S ALL OVER
I CAN STAND IT
I CAN TURN YOUR WORLD AROUND
I CAN'T GET USED TO BEING LONELY
I CAN'T REMEMBER
I DON'T HAVE ANYPLACE TO GO
I DON'T KNOW WHY I KEEP LOVING YOU
I DON'T LOVE YOU ANYMORE
I DON'T WANT TO BE WITH ME
I GOT YOU
I KNOW YOU'RE GOING AWAY
I LOVE CHARLIE BROWN
I LOVE YOU DROPS
I NEVER ONCE STOPPED LOVING YOU
I OVERLOOKED AN ORCHID (WHILE SEARCHING FOR A ROSE)
I SAW A MAN
I THOUGHT OF YOU
I WILL
I'D RATHER BE A FOOL
I'D STILL WANT TO SERVE HIM TODAY
I'LL BE THERE (IF YOU EVER WANT ME)
I'LL COME RUNNING
I'LL FLY AWAY
I'LL LOVE YOU ENOUGH (FOR BOTH OF US)
I'LL NEVER GET OVER LOVING YOU
I'LL SHARE MY WORLD WITH YOU
I'M ALL WRAPPED UP IN YOU (WRITER DON GIBSON)
I'M ASHAMED OF YOU
I'M GONNA SING
I'M LITTLE BUT I'M LOUD
I'M SO USED TO LOVING YOU
I'M YOUR WOMAN
IF GOD IS DEAD (WHO'S THIS LIVING FOR MY SOUL)
IF I COULD JUST GET OVER YOU
IF I TALK TO HIM
IF IT AIN'T LOVE (LET'S LEAVE IT ALONE)
IF IT AIN'T STRONG ENOUGH
IF MY HEART HAD WINDOWS
IF THE WHOLE WORLD STOPPED LOVIN'
IF WE WANT LOVE TO LAST
IF YOU WERE MINE TO LOSE
IF YOU WON'T TELL ON ME
IN CASE YOU EVER CHANGE YOUR MIND
IN THE GARDEN
INVISIBLE TEARS
IT COMES AND GOES
IT ONLY HURTS FOR A LITTLE WHILE
IT'LL BE EASY
IT'S GONNA RAIN TODAY
IT'S JUST MY LUCK
IT'S NOT THE END OF EVERYTHING
IT'S NOW OR NEVER
IT'S SUCH A PRETTY WORLD TODAY
JESUS TAKE A HOLD
JOY TO THE WORLD
JUST A CLOSER WALK WITH THEE
JUST A LITTLE SUNSHINE IN THE RAIN
JUST FOR WHAT I AM
JUST LET ME KNOW
JUST ONE TIME
KEEP ON HOLDING TO THOSE NAIL SCARRED HANDS
LAST LETTER
LAYING ON THE HANDS
LET IT BE ME
LET ME HELP YOU WORK IT OUT
LITTLE DRUMMER BOY
LITTLE THINGS
LIVING WITHOUT YOU (IS TOO MUCH TO LIVE WITH)
LONELY WOMAN
LONG BLACK LIMOUSINE
LOUISIANA MAN
LOVE HAS A MIND OF ITS OWN
LOVE IS NO EXCUSE
LOVE IS THE LOOK YOU'RE LOOKING FOR
LOVE TAKES CARE OF ME
LOVE'S GONNA LIVE HERE
LOVIN' YOU BABY
LOVIN' YOU, LOVIN' ME
LOVING YOU HAS SURE BEEN GOOD TO ME
MORE TO LOVE THAN THIS
MY ECSTASY
MY HEART HAS A MIND OF ITS OWN
MY LITTLE CORNER OF THE WORLD
MY OWN PECULIAR WAY
MY WHOLE WORLD IS FALLING DOWN
NIGHT HAS A THOUSAND EYES
NOBODY BUT A FOOL (WOULD LOVE YOU)
NOT TILL YOU COME BACK TO ME
NOW
NOW LORD WHAT CAN I DO FOR YOU
O HOLY NIGHT
ON AND ON AND ON
ONCE A DAY
ONE DAY AT A TIME
ONE MORE TIME
ONLY FOR ME
ONLY MAMA THAT'LL WALK THE LINE
OTHER SIDE OF YOU
PAPER ROSES
PASS ME BY(IF YOU'RE ONLY PASSING THROUGH
PEACE IN THE VALLEY
PLENTY OF TIME
PO' FOLKS
REMIND ME DEAR LORD
RIBBON OF DARKNESS
RIDE RIDE RIDE
RINGS OF GOLD
RUN AWAY LITTLE TEARS
SAME AS MINE
SATISFIED
SEATTLE
SENSES
SLOWLY
SMOOTH SAILIN'
SO SAD (TO WATCH GOOD LOVE GO BAD)
SOFTLY AND TENDERLY
SOME TO GIVE MY LOVE TO
SOMETHING PRETTY
SOUL SONG
SOUND OF DIFFERENT DRUMS
STAND BESIDE ME
STRANGE
STREET WHERE THE LONELY WALK
SUN SHINES DOWN ON ME
SUNDAY MORNING
SUNDOWN ON MY MIND
SUNSHINE OF MY WORLD
SURELY
SWEET LITTLE JESUS BOY
TELL ANOTHER LIE
TEN THOUSAND AND ONE
THANK YOU FOR LOVING ME
THAT'S ALL THIS OLD WORLD NEEDS
THAT'S THE WAY LOVE GOES
THAT'S WHAT IT'S LIKE TO BE LONESOME
THAT'S WHAT LONESOME IS
THE CALL
THE KEY'S IN THE MAILBOX
THE SONG WE FELL IN LOVE TO
THE WAYWARD WIND
THE WONDERS YOU PERFORM
THEN AND ONLY THEN
THERE ARE SOME THINGS
THERE GOES MY EVERYTHING
THERE'LL NEVER BE ANOTHER FOR ME
THERE'S SOMETHING LONELY IN THIS HOUSE
THINK I'LL GO SOMEWHERE AND CRY MYSELF TO SLEEP
THRESHOLD
TIE A YELLOW RIBBON 'ROUND THE OILD OAK TREE
TILL I KISSED YOU
TINY BLUE TRANSISTOR RADIO
TO CHICAGO WITH LOVE
TODAY I STARTED LOVING YOU AGAIN
TOGETHER ALONE
TOO GOOD TO BE TRUE
TOO MANY RIVERS
TOO MUCH TO GAIN TO LOSE
TOO SOON TO KNOW
TOUCH MY HEART
TOUCH OF YESTERDAY
TWO EMPTY ARMS
TWO TOGETHER
WAIT FOR THE LIGHT TO SHINE
WALK ME TO THE DOOR
WALK OUT BACKWARDS
WALK THROUGH THIS WORLD WITH ME
WAY UP ON THE MOUNTAIN
WAYFARING PILGRIM
WE'RE GONNA HOLD ON
WEDDING CAKE
WELL IT'S ALL RIGHT
WELL OF HIS MERCY
WHAT CHILD IS THIS
WHAT MAKES A MAN WANDER
WHAT WOULD I DO WITHOUT YOU
WHEN A HOUSE IS NOT A HOME
WHEN GOD DIPS HIS LOVE IN MY HEART
WHEN I SING FOR HIM
WHEN IT'S JUST YOU AND ME
WHEN THE BOOK OF LIFE IS READ
WHEN YOU HURT ME MORE THAN I LOVE YOU
WHERE COULD I GO BUT TO THE LORD
WHERE IS MY CASTLE
WHILE SHEPHERDS WATCHED THEIR FLOCKS
WHISPERING HOPE
WHY DON'T YOU LOVE ME LIKE YOU USED TO DO
WHY ME
WILL THE REAL ME PLEASE STOP CRYING
WINGS OF A DOVE
WORLD OF FORGOTTEN PEOPLE
Y'ALL COME
YOU
YOU AIN'T WOMAN ENOUGH (TO TAKE MY MAN)
YOU AND LOVE AND I
YOU AND YOUR SWEET LOVE
YOU ARE GONE
YOU CAN MOVE THAT MOUNTAIN
YOU DON'T HAVE VERY FAR TO GO
YOU LIGHT UP MY LIFE
YOU'RE GETTIN' HEAVY ON MY MIND
YOU'RE MEM'RY COMES ALONG
YOU'VE GOT ME RIGHT WHERE YOU WANT ME
YOUNG LOVE
YOUR LIGHT
YOUR MEM'RY COMES ALONG
YOURS LOVE

In 1965 Vietnam seemed like just another foreign war but it wasn't
It was different in many ways, as so were tose that did the fighting
In World War II the average age of the combat soldier was 26
In Vietnam he was 19
In-in-in Vietnam he was 19

The shooting and fighting of the past two weeks continued today
25 miles west of Saigon
I really wasn't sure what was going on

Ni-ni-ni 19, 19, ni-19 19
19, 19, 19, 19

In Vietnam the combat soldier typically served
A twelve month tour of duty
But was exposed to hostile fire almost everyday
Ni-ni-ni 19, Ni-ni-ni 19

Hundreds of thousands of men who saw heavy combat
In Vietnam were arrested since discharge
Their arrest rate is almost twice that of non-veterans of the same age
There are no accurate figures of how many of these men
Have been incarcerated

But a Veterans Administration study
Concludes that the greater of vets
Exposure to combat could more likely affect his chances
Of being arrested or convicted

This is one legacy of the Vietnam War

All those who remember the war
They won't forget what they've seen
Destruction of men in their prime
Whose average was 19

De-de-destruction
De-de-destruction
War, war

De-de-destruction, wa, wa, war, wa, war, war
De-de-destruction
War, war

After World War II the men came home together on troop ships
But the Vietnam vet often arrived home within 48 hours of jungle combat
Perhaps the most dramatic difference between
World War II and Vietnam was coming home
None of them received a hero's welcome

None of them received a heroes welcome, none of them, none of them
Ne-ne-ne, ne-ne-ne, none of them, none of them, none of them
None of them received a hero's welcome
None of them received a hero's welcome

According to a Veteran's Administration study
Half of the Vietnam combat veterans suffered from what
Psychiatrists call
Post-Traumatic-Stress-Disorder

Many vets complain of alienation, rage or guilt
Some succumb to suicidal thoughts
Eight to ten years after coming home
Almost eight hundred thousand men are still fighting the Vietnam War

De-de-destruction
Ni-ni-ni 19, 19, ni19 19
19, 19, 19, 19
Ni-ni-ni 19, 19, ni-19 19
19, 19, 19, 19

When we came back it was different, everybody wants to know
"How'd it happened to those guys over there?
There's gotta be something wrong somewhere
We did what we had to do

There's gotta be something wrong somewhere
People wanted us to be ashamed of what it made us
Dad had no idea what he went to fight and he is now
All we want to do is come home

All we want to do is come home
What did we do it for?
All we want to do is come home
Was it worth it

I've done everything I canAll the people that I see I will never understandIf I find a way to change, if I step into the lightThen I'll never be the same, and it all will fade to whiteEver on and on I continue circlingWith nothing but my hate in a carousel of agony
